Funding
Travel Reimbursement
The UGSA funds individual graduate students who cannot get their travel costs fully subsidized in other ways, but only once per graduate degree sought at NC State. This money, currently up to $250, must be used for travel and lodging expenses.
Thesis & Dissertation Reimbursement
The UGSA helps defray the cost of copying your thesis or dissertation. A one time per degree reimbursement of $75 is available. You must apply for this reimbursement while you are still a student at NC State.
Block Grant Funding (for chapters)
Chapters can receive grants of up to $250 twice a year in order to support events within their department. Block grants are read over and voted on by the executive board. Block grants are generally used towards educational, inter-departmental events.
Teaching Assistant Awards
Each year awards are given to excellent Teaching Assistants. Teaching Assistants are nominated by their Director of Graduate Programs.
